Vibha Singh
Vibha Singh is a graduate in Drawing and Painting College from Banasthali Vidhyapeeth University of Rajasthan , and MA in Political Science.
She has been painting for more than 20 years and has held several solo and group shows . Having been in the field of art for more than two decades, Vibha Singh’s visual forms interplay with abstract concepts and figurative which are rooted in the spiritual and the transcendental. Following the success of the ‘Raga’ and ‘Ganesha’ sequence, her works transcend a new paradigm in her figurative ‘Shiva-Shakti’ series. Depicting Lord Shiva with his consort as ‘Shakti’, these paintings capture the spirit of spirituality- the rising consciousness, with the half opened eyes of Shiva & Shakti portrayed in a wide spectrum of colours ranging from the earthy to the vivid. The spiritual atmosphere is heightened by usage of such allegorical symbols as bells, temple and lotus. For Vibha the process of translating her thoughts on the canvas is a spiritually uplifting experience right from the deliberate conceptualization of the symbols & colours to painting her abstracts, semi-abstracts, Raga, Ganesha, Shiva & the current Buddha series.
Art allows her to channelize her creativity and spirituality on her canvases. For her the process of translating her thoughts on the canvas is a spiritually uplifting experience right from the deliberate conceptualization of the symbols & colours to painting her abstracts, semi-abstracts, ‘Raga , Ganesha ,Shiva & the current Buddha series.
